DEFINITION

Remedies Directive

Directive 89/665/EEC (as amended), requiring EU member states to provide effective, rapid judicial review mechanisms for procurement decisions. Gives unsuccessful bidders the right to seek interim suspension of award decisions and to claim damages for procurement law infringements.
